200523-N-HR150-1078 PHILIPPINE SEA (May 23, 2020) - Lieutenant Commander Travis Vertolli, from Millville, New Jersey, is secured into a reeves sleeve stretcher during a general quarters training evolution aboard U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). General quarters training allows Sailors to train and prepare themselves in the event of an actual casualty or event. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
