    USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19)

200511-N-FA444-2306 PHILIPPINE SEA (May 11, 2020) Damage Controlman 3rd Class Kyleigh Miller, from Colorado Springs, Colorado, unclogs a nozzle during a Countermeasure Wash Down (CMWD) on the flight deck of U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). In the event of a chemical, biological or radiological attack, CMWDs are conducted to cleanse the main deck of contaminates. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
