Tyvon Maguntay waits in a temporary pediatrics clinic to see a physician at Gandara One Central Elementary School during a free medical civil action project (MEDCAP). Numerous MEDCAPS have been conducted in Samar over the course of two weeks, bringing medical and dental treatment to thousands of local residents. Now in its seventh year, Pacific Partnership is an annual U.S. Pacific Fleet humanitarian and civic assistance mission designed to work by, with and through host and partner nations, non-government organizations and international agencies to build partnership and a collective ability to respond to natural disasters.
