Marine Maj. Gen. Karsten Heckl speaks to Sgt. Carlos Paredes at the Combat Readiness Training Center, Alpena, Michigan, April 28, 2020. Heckl visited to observe the unique cold weather training Marine Attack Squadron 542 is conducting to improve readiness. While there, he also ensured safety measures were in place to protect the health and well-being of Marines and sailors in the midst of COVID-19.
