Maj. Gen. James O. Eifert, The Adjutant General of Florida, tosses a coin to a Guardsmen from 2nd Battalion, 124th Infantry, at a drive-through Community Based Test Site at Holiday Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on May 2, 2020. Eifert thanks the Guardsmen and states the importance of their role in the COVID-19 pandemic response. The 2-124th currently operate out of three counties in the state to support Mobile Testing missions and drive-through testing sites. The Florida National Guard has more than 2,800 Guardsmen on duty in support of Florida’s COVID-19 response.
