Schools in Yadkin County, North Carolina are closed due to COVID-19, but lunches continue. The school district purchases the lunches through the United States Department of Agriculture’s National School Lunch Program. The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support and the North Carolina Department of Agriculture have a 10-year partnership where locally-grown fresh fruits and vegetables are brought into the schools.
