Meet Emy Amaya! Emy, 8, is the youngest of three children and a student at Scott Elementary School. She has never known life outside the military and has lived in Florida and Maryland prior to coming to Illinois. She was too little to remember Florida but recalls going to Pre-K in Maryland and making a lot of new friends! She doesn't know much about her dad's job other than the fact that he works on computers and sometimes has to go far far away for a long time. Moving is hard on her because she has to say goodbye to her friends knowing she may not see them again. Even though goodbyes are hard, she loves going to new places and meeting new people.
