Donovan Guthrie, right, a pneudraulics system mechanic at Fleet Readiness Center East, and Jason Hollister, a pneudraulics system mechanic apprentice, check an F-18 cabin safety valve against the technical instruction to ensure it’s ready for issue, or RFI. FRCE stepped in to in to take on the repair, checking and testing of the component several months earlier than planned after Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center at Tinker Air Force Base experienced coronavirus-related workforce shortages.
