Col. Patrick O’Neal Commander of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, commands an M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank from 2nd Battalion, 69th Armored Regiment, and fires a 120mm High Explosive Anti-Tank (H.E.A.T) round during a Table VIII Gunnery iteration April 22, at Konotop range Drawsko Pomorskie Training Area, Poland. The 120mm ammunition system equips the M1A1 with a 120mm main armament. It consists of a family of kinetic energy (KE) rounds and a family of high explosive anti-tank (HEAT) rounds.
