GROTON, Conn. (April 21, 2020) – Naval Submarine School (SUBSCHOOL) partnered with the American Red Cross on April 20 to host a blood donation event for military personnel onboard Naval Submarine Base New London. Religious Program Specialist Petty Officer 2nd Class Ambria Eidson, left, from Nipomo, California conducts temperature screening on Seaman Recruit Liam Wolfe, from Prior Lake, Minnesota, before he is allowed entry into the drive. Strict social distancing guidelines and proper hygiene were put in place by both SUBSCHOOL and the Red Cross to ensure that safety measures were being taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19. During the two-day blood drive, more than 88 productive pints of blood were collected, potentially saving 264 lives. (Photo by Alexander Gago)
