The U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron “Thunderbirds” fly over Denver, Colo. to show appreciation to the thousands of nurses, doctors, firefighters, and others who are at the front line of battling COVID-19 after the U.S. Air Force Academy’s commencement flyover April 18, 2020. The U.S. Air Force performs close to 1,000 flyovers a year to include air shows, national-level sporting events, and any event in support of a patriotic holiday. All events receiving a flyover are open to the public. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Joshua T. Crossman)
