Naval Air Station Whiting Field, the busiest aviation complex in the U.S., continues to train future aviation war fighters during the COVID-19 pandemic. Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard students, to include some international students, are assigned to Training Air Wing Five to complete a rigorous training curriculum to become our Nation's future aviators. Using face coverings and appropriate health measures, this student aviator (pictured) checks out instrumentation in a simulator during his primary training. Training Air Wing Five at NAS Whiting Field conducts approximately 60 percent of all primary flight training and 100 percent of advanced rotary wing training for the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard.
