PHILIPPINE SEA (April 15, 2020) A Marine with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) undergoes a blood pressure test during a periodic health assessment (PHA) aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). Marines and Sailors attached to the 31st MEU keep up to date on vaccinations and get PHAs in order to maintain health while on deployment. America, flagship of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
