The California National Guard’s religious team of Maj. Saul Castillo, full-time support chaplain of the California National Guard’s Joint Forces Headquarters (JFHQ), and Sgt. Maj. Desmond D. Knight, noncommissioned officer chief of religious affairs, distribute bread and liquid April 13 during an Easter Sunday service at the JFHQ Sacramento facility. The bread and liquid are symbolic of the body and blood of Christ. The two religious leaders led the prayer service for Cal Guardsmen still supporting COVID-19 missions during the religious holiday.
