A view from the rafters of the Miami Beach Convention Center, April 9, 2020, Miami Beach, Fla. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is constructing an alternate care facility in support of the COVID-19 pandemic. Construction of the facility began Tuesday, April 7,2020. Once construction/conversion of the site is complete, the alternate care facility is transferred to the state for operations and maintenance of the facility.
