Texas Army National Guard Soldiers attached to the 449th Aviation Support Battalion begin to break down pallets of supplies and organize inventory at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on April 3, 2020, in preparation to distribute goods across the state in support of the COVID-19 pandemic response. The Battalion’s current mission is to serve as a central storage point and act as a distribution center for medical supplies. These supplies will be picked up by local point of use centers coordinated with the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM).
