GULF OF ADEN (March 31, 2020) - Aviation Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Colton Eichholz and Aviation Support Equipment Technician 2nd Class Joshua Keckler, both assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 28, perform maintenance on a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter attached to the Blue Knights of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 365 in the hangar bay of the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), March 30, 2020. Bataan is the flagship for the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
