A gaming miniature sits on a table at Misawa Air Base, Japan, March 7, 2020. On Saturdays, Airmen from the 35th Fighter Wing gather together to play table top games, and they use these miniatures to represent players. The players customize and paint these miniatures by hand, providing each miniature a sense of character. The tabletop community inspires many to collect other memorabilia, such as dice, books, and maps and hobbies, like figure painting and crafting, as they get more absorbed into the culture.
