U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District has its mission assignment from FEMA for planning and site assessments of potential alternate care facilities in Arizona in response to COVID-19. Our team is assisting the state with early planning, engineering and contingency response capabilities to expedite assessment and conversion of existing facilities to be ready to receive medical equipment/staff and in support of their identified health care needs. Our team did a facility assessment April 1 in Glendale.
