Robert Ardis, 251st Area Support Medical Company health care specialist, takes the temperature of a U.S. Army National Guard Soldier being mobilized as part of Joint Task Force 59, South Carolina National Guard, for state active duty during a medical pre-screening April 1, 2020 in Laurens, South Carolina in support of the state's COVID-19 response efforts. The medical pre-screening is part of measures put in place to limit the exposure of COVID-19 for the service members and protect the health of the force. The South Carolina National Guard remains ready to support the counties, local and state agencies, and first responders with requested resources for as long as needed in support of COVID-19 response efforts in the state.
