NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (March 22, 2020) - Builder Constructionman Steven Schwab, from Westland, Mich., assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 1, inspects a lighting unit for a pre-staging area in front of Naval Hospital Rota, Spain, March 22, 2020. The pre-staging area will assist medical personnel in screening and testing patients for COVID-19. NMCB 1 is forward-deployed to execute construction, humanitarian assistance, and theater security cooperation in the U.S. 5th, 6th, and 7th Fleet areas of operation.
