Brig. Gen. Michael S. Martin is pinned by his wife Sandra Martin during his promotion to major general in their home in Southwick, Massachusetts, March 24, 2020. Maj. Gen. Martin, the current commanding general of 4th Marine Division, was promoted over the phone by Lt. Gen. David G. Bellon, commander of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces North, due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions and safety measures.
