Jake Thompson, 306th Rescue Squadron, measures the velocity of the wind before pararescuemen, also known as PJs, jump from the new HC-130J Combat King II on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., June 27, 2012. Thompson plays a critical part in the PJs' drop as it is ideal for them to land facing the opposite the direction the wind is blowing.
