200315-N-KK394-1154 ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 15, 2020) Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Jacob Visconti signals an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the Sea Knights of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 22 Detachment Five on the flight deck of the Freedom-class littoral combat ship USS Detroit (LCS 7). During the deployment to the U.S. Southern Command's area of responsibility, Detroit, with embarked helicopter and USCG law enforcement detachment, will support Joint Interagency Task Force South's mission, which includes counter-drug patrols and detection and monitoring of illicit traffic in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific.
