NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Feb. 13, 2020) Machinist Mate 2nd Class Marcia Mohammed, left, a Sailor assigned to the engineering department aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73), assists Machinist Mate 3rd Class Glenville Bell, assigned to the engineering department aboard the George Washington, with his firefighting ensemble during dress-out training in the hangar bay. George Washington is undergoing refueling complex overhaul (RCOH) at Newport News Shipyard. RCOH is a nearly four-year project performed only once during a carrier's 50-year service life that includes refueling the ship's two nuclear reactors, as well as significant repairs, upgrades, and modernization.
