Soldiers of the Scouts Platoon, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment conducted a joint training with the Royal Thai Army, 6th Infantry Division, Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol Company during Hanuman Guardian 20 on March 5, 2020. The group covered the fundamentals of marksmanship, target detection, range estimation, and field craft. Lt. Col Philip Mundweil, commander of 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment and 1st Sgt. Brandon Wheat, 1st Sgt. of Headquarters and Headquarters Company paid a visit to observe training and discuss future joint training with the RTA. Our relationship with the Kingdom of Thailand remains one of our most important in Southeast Asia. The bilateral training of HG20 demonstrates the commitment of the Kingdom of Thailand and the U.S. to our long-standing alliance.
