Philippine Sea (Mar. 1, 2020) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Mustin (DDG 89) fires a Mark 45 5-inch gun during the U.S.-Japan Bilateral Advanced Warfighting Training exercise. BAWT improves interoperability between the U.S. and Japanese forces. This exercise enhances the ability of the U.S. Navy and Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force to work together to confront any contingency.
