Sergeant Mathew Hill, an Avionics Technician with Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 501, poses for a photo at Beaufort, South Carolina. "Learn as if you're always going to live; live as if tomorrow you're going to die," said Sgt Hill, a Baltimore, MD native. He was nominated for the following; Selected as the warlords' Maintenance Slayer of The Month. He was instrumental in the repair of Aircraft VM-28 vehicle system built in test NOGO caused by the Power Thermal Management System. Sergeant Hill constructed a 17 foot jumper cable to the cabin flow valve in the lift fan bay to the wafer connector in the weapons bay to determine if wiring or components were the actual faults. After Aircraft VM-28 being non mission capable for 60 days, a high speed low thrust turn was conducted and all follow-on checks finally passed with no issues resulting in a ready basic aircraft."
