Soldiers with 66th Troop Command receive a class on how to operate a Joint Operation Center during a JOC training course from Lt. Col. Terrence Buckhalter, JOC Training Course team chief with the U.S. Northern Command, in anticipation of Patriot South 20, at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center, near Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on February 23, 2020. Patriot South 20 exercises will have multiple interagency field training exercise events including: mass casualty, aeromedical evacuation, collapsed structures, hospital evacuation, HAZMAT, Nuclear disaster response, and Search and Rescue. Scenarios like Patriot South help build lasting relationships and train Soldiers to aid state and local agencies during Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) operations in times of emergencies.
