200218-N-KC438-1144 TUCSON, Ariz. (Feb. 18, 2020) Master-at-Arms 1st Class Travis Hagerty, of Gilbert, Ariz., teaches knot tying to children at the Boys and Girls Club of Tucson during Tucson Navy Week, Feb. 18, 2020. The Navy Week program serves as the Navy Office of Community Outreach’s principle outreach effort in areas of the country without a significant Navy presence. USS Constitution is the world’s oldest commissioned warship afloat and played a crucial role in the Barbary Wars and the War of 1812, actively defending sea lanes from 1797 to 1855. Located in Boston and designated America’s Ship of State, USS Constitution and her crew engaged in community outreach and education about the ship’s history and the importance of naval power to more than 600,000 visitors each year.
