200218-N-HR150-1120 SOUTH CHINA SEA (Feb. 18, 2020) - Chief Personnel Specialist Christian Vonmaluski, from Toledo, Ohio, instructs Yeoman 2nd Class Christopher Hyde, from San Diego, on the proper use of a fire hose during a general quarters training evolution aboard U.S. 7th Fleet Flagship, USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19). General quarters training allows Sailors to prepare themselves in the event of an actual casualty. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
