Rafal Jasielec, from Chicago, assigned to the Amphibious Reconnaissance Platoon, Maritime Raid Force views an F-35B Lightning II fighter aircraft assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Reinforced) drop flares as a show of force across the bow of Henry J. Kaiser-class underway replenishment oiler USNS Tippecanoe (T-AO-199) during a visit, board, search, and seizure drill aboard San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20). Green Bay, part of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
