200217-N-DE082-1197 SOUTH CHINA SEA (Feb. 17, 2020) - Logistics Specialist Seaman Brandon Hawkinson, from Peoria, Arizona, helps inspect cargo netting during a vertical replenishment training on the flight deck of USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). Cargo nets are used to secure goods to pallets that are transferred from one ship to another, in this case via helicopter. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific Region.
