Our first Mayors' Summit of the year took place on Thursday, Jan. 30. In attendance were Garrison Commander Col. Daniel J. Vogel, Command Sgt. Maj. Billy Vetten, Senior Italian Officer Col. Michele Biasiutti, Italian Base Commander Col. Umberto D'Andria, tenant unit commanders and leadership, and over 20 mayors from Vicenza's surrounding towns and villages. Topics covered continuing partnership opportunities like community clean ups, economic impact of the Army bases in Italy, and new construction projects.
