Al Alarcon, middle, salutes Rear Admiral Blake Converse, commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, as he becomes the new commanding officer of the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), Feb. 7. The ship hosted a change of command ceremony before crew members, family and friends. Frank Cable, forward deployed to the island of Guam, repairs, rearms and re-provisions submarines and surface vessels in the Indo Pacific region.
