200208-M-KE756-1034 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Feb. 8, 2020) A Marine and Sailor assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) participate in a fish call from the aft end of the ship. Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 26th MEU, is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations to reassure allies and partners and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
