KIN BLUE, OKINAWA (Feb. 9, 2020) Landing Craft Air Cushion 09 assigned to Naval Beach Unit 7 unloads a Marine Corps High-Mobility Artillery Rocket System with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit on the shoreline after Marines with Charlie Company, Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion 5th Marines, 31st MEU, and Japanese service members with the Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade secured the beach during a bilateral small-boat raid on Kin Blue, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 9, 2020. Marines and ARDB conducted a bilateral small-boat raid leading into a HIMARS insert and simulated shot. The America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
