Richie, commanding officer of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, congratulates seven military children who each earned a $1,500 scholarship sponsored by the Commissary aboard MCAS Miramar, Calif., June 20. Recipients were required to write an essay about who they would put into a 21st Century Mount Rushmore and who volunteer to make a difference in their communities.
