    The Coast Guard Cutter SPAR (WLB 206), a 225-foot Juniper class, seagoing buoy tender, and the Coast Guard Cutter Mellon (WHEC 717), a 378-foot Secretary class high endurance cutter, sit moored at adjoining piers in Womens Bay, Base Kodiak, Alaska, Feb. 6, 2020. Both vessels conduct a variety of missions throughout Alaskan waters, including fisheries patrols, maritime security and navigational aids maintenance to reduce hazards at sea for transiting mariners on Alaskan waters.
