Retired Col. Donald “Doc” Ballard, a Medal of Honor recipient, administers the oath of enlistment to future service members during a mass swearing-in ceremony at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, Feb. 3, 2020. Ballard was awarded the Medal of Honor for heroic actions above and beyond the call of duty while serving as a Navy Hospital Corpsman in Vietnam.
