Staff Sgt. Trevor Goss, 480th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron munitions section, deployed from Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, constructs chaff cartridges used in the F-16 Fighting Falcon during a Flying Training Deployment at Monte Real Air Base, Portugal, Feb. 4, 2020. Chaff is employed by aircraft as a defensive countermeasure to interrupt radar signals used in various anti-aircraft weaponry.
