Chief Musician Mark Stout, leading chief petty officer of the U.S. 7th Fleet Band's Orient Express, teaches saxophone rhythms to a student from the Anglo-Chinese School during a band master class. The master class and following rock concert were part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Malaysia 2012. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Timor Leste joins CARAT for the first time in 2012.
