U.S. Coast Guard Ens. Scott Nichols, a landing signal officer aboard the national security cutter USCGC Waesche (WMSL 751), launches a Eurocopter HH-65 Dolphin assigned to the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) during deck landing drills. The event is part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2012 Malaysia. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
