200130-M-CB805-1075 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Jan. 30, 2020) Marines assigned to 3rd Platoon, Golf Company, Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), prepare to board a U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51). Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 26th MEU, is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations to reassure allies and partners and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
