Mrs. Karen Pence, Second Lady of the United States, visited the Intrepid Spirit Concussion Recovery Center aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, focusing on the center's Art Therapy Program. As part of her visit, she gifted Intrepid Spirit's art therapist, Danielle Braxton, with a piece of Mrs. Pence's very own artwork. She also gifted Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune art therapists with personalized bracelets as a token of Mrs. Pence's appreciation for their work.
