JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO – (Jan. 30, 2020) TV Kumaresh (center), vice president and senior strategy officer with USAA, joined by other senior USAA executives, received a briefing by Cmdr. Nicholas Gamiz, commanding officer of Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio at NRD headquarters on Fort Sam Houston. The USAA contingent, led by Michael Merwarth, executive vice president, Enterprise Strategy and Marketing, visited recruiting stations and the headquarters to learn more about Navy recruiting within Military City USA and South Texas. NRD San Antonio’s area of responsibility includes more than 34 Navy Recruiting Stations and Navy Officer Recruiting Stations spread throughout 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas territory.
