U.S. Army National Guard junior enlisted Soldiers and non-commissioned officers from the South Carolina National Guard, U.S. Army Soldiers from Fort Jackson, and German Armed Forces service members fire Beretta M9s during the pistol qualification portion of the state-level Best Warrior Competition and German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge qualification, hosted by the South Carolina National Guard, Jan. 27, 2020 at McCrady Training Center in Eastover, South Carolina. The South Carolina National Guard holds the Best Warrior Competition each year, where junior enlisted and non-commissioned officers from all of the major units throughout the state compete against each other in a variety of tasks to include a ruck march, weapons qualifications, and general Soldier skills. This year, U.S. Marines, U.S. Army Soldiers, and German service members also participated as part of the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge qualification.
