ATLANTIC OCEAN (Dec. 22, 2019) - Marines, assigned to 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), and Sailors, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), participate in a Christmas gingerbread house contest on the ship's mess decks, Dec. 22, 2019. Bataan is operating in the Atlantic Ocean in support of naval operations to maintain maritime stability and security in order to ensure access, deter aggression and defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
