JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Dec. 16, 2019) – Gwendolyn Council, an ophthalmology technician at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, conducts an eye exam with a sailor. Council, a native of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, says, “It’s with great pride that we provide quality eye care to our nation's heroes and their families. We perform refractive surgeries for active duty; cataract surgeries and eye exams for active duty, retirees, and families. It isn’t just a job.
