Lance Cpl. Lorenzo D. McCoy, 26, a Cleveland native with 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, cleans the playground at the Central Recreation Center after Marines and volunteers finished clearing the area of debris June 14 during a community outreach effort for Marine Week Cleveland. McCoy grew up near the center and played at its facilities as a child. He said he was glad to get the chance to give back to his community beside his fellow Marines. Marines joined volunteers from the Cleveland Indians’ franchise and Defense Finance and Accounting Services to give back to the people of Cleveland as part of Marine Week Cleveland’s community outreach program. Marine Week Cleveland ends June 17.
